The Drink
Another Dick Bradsell original, this iconic cocktail was created in the 1980s and was largely inspired by Dick’s childhood memories of picking blackberries in the Isle of Wight. The cocktail takes its name from the blackberry bushes which are commonly known as “brambles”.
Despite the focus on rich autumn fruit, the Bramble is typically considered the quintessential spring cocktail, due to the light and refreshing combination of botanical gin, fresh lemon juice, and sweet berries. We’ve given our nod to the coastal provenance of this cocktail by mixing it with Salcombe Gin, distilled in the coastline of Devon.
Ice cold and sparkling over ice, this cocktail is the perfect garden sip over the warmer months, capturing perfectly the rolling English hedgerows, blossom gardens and wildflower meadows that make this country such a sought-after destination. Lie back in the warm summer sunshine on a bed of buttercups and forget-me-nots, and enjoy the peace of butterfly’s and honey bees lazily drifting across the fields.
